About Us

Lindsay Sciandra, fondly known as "Whimsy," began her artistic journey in 2001, designing florals at a cherished Fort Worth flower shop celebrated for its heartfelt sympathy arrangements. Her passion for artistry is deeply rooted in a lifetime of creative exploration, family traditions, and an innate sense of wonder. Creativity flows through her family—her father, a master trim carpenter; her aunt, a specialist in interior blinds and custom bedding; and her grandmother, a gifted seamstress—all instilled a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and beauty. Lindsay’s artistic talent has even been recognized by the esteemed Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, where her work has been proudly displayed. She later refined her floral artistry under the mentorship of a Master of Floral Design, blending timeless techniques with an inventive spirit.

Lindsay pursued studies in drawing and fine art at Tarrant County College and the University of Texas at Arlington, further honing her artistic perspective. As an autistic savant, she channels her extraordinary focus and unique vision to create work that feels both precise and enchanting. In November 2023, Lindsay brought her dream to life by founding Lindsay By Design, LLC—a private floral and décor studio nestled within the scenic Pecan Plantation Country Club in historic Granbury, Texas.
